this is the rescue, the rescueTHE REASON I'VE BEEN HOLDING MY BREATH EVERY NIGHT- - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Holding her finger down over the power button of her laptop, Rowan watched as the screen blackened and the whirring noise stopped. Leaning back in her chair, the brunette chewed on her bottom lip, confused. How had this happened? How had she agreed to go to a night club- of all places- with a girl she hardly knew. Well of course she knew about her. Anyone who was anyone on the music scene knew who Hayley Fox was. Her own producer (who never seemed to turn up to work) had even raved about her once before and Rowan had to admit, her music wasn’t half bad. Although that made the senior slightly jealous, it always did when she found someone who was better then her in the only area she felt she could succeed in. It never did any good for her confidence. Hazel eyes flicked to the clock next to her bed and a hand ran absent mindedly through her messy hair; Contemplating what she was going to do. Of course she could not show up, but then Hayley would be left by herself. Somehow this thought caused anxiety to build in the pit of her stomach and Rowan didn’t understand why. It wasn’t like she knew the girl although she did seem particularly naïve and the only person who had really made an effort to talk to Rowan, despite her attempts to brush the other girl off. Maybe she felt obliged to go, to repay that small debt and even the field. Yes that was it.
Realizing she only had a set amount of time before she had to meet the other girl, Rowan stood and stripped quickly, stepping into the shower. Fifteen minutes later she emerged, faced with a new dilemma. What the hell was she meant to wear to a nightclub? It wasn’t exactly somewhere she made a point of going, nor did she know anyone who went. Deciding on a black skirt that stopped mid way to her thighs and a shirt that fell from her left shoulder , Rowan pulled the clothes on before attempting to do something with her long hair, which she had decided desperately needed to be cut . Looking herself once over in the mirror, Rowan had to pause, why did she even care what she looked like? It wasn’t like she was going to impress anyone, was she? No, she highly doubted the other girl would be interested in what she looked like or what she was wearing, although the possibility that she might be was a little enthralling. Rowan was a lover of beauty and it was hard to deny that Hayley was beautiful, however that thought would never be voiced. With another nervous glance at the clock, Rowan grabbed her wallet and her keys before locking the door to her dorm and heading downstairs. It felt odd to be going out, especially on a school night.
From her dorm, the local club was only a ten minutes drive. Those minutes seemed to drag on forever. The prospect of experiencing something new, she had to admit was creating a ball of excitement inside of her, however it was laced with anxiety. Rowan knew that even if she enjoyed herself tonight, which would be a miracle, she would never willingly admit it. She hated to be wrong and she had a feeling Hayley was the type of person who would never let her hear the end of it. Pulling up into the already crowded car park, Rowan looked behind her and walked towards one of the less crowded walls, pulling out a cigarette from her wallet. She was not a smoker; however found that nicotine was an excellent calmative and a good substitute for food. Borrowing a lighter from the guy next to her, the tall brunette lit the cigarette and lent against the wall, shutting her eyes as she blew smoke out of her nose. Somehow she had a feeling it would be hard to miss Hayley coming down the street. It seemed the girl exuberated happiness and rainbows and Rowan honestly wasn’t sure how she felt about that yet. Tonight would be a test of some sort for her, to see whether or not she was ready to inter-graded back into society and perhaps, make a friend?

closing the top of her laptop, hayley leaned back in her chair with a grin on her face. there was something about rowan pierce that she admired and really, she'd been trying to be close to her for quite some time. tonight was the night that she was finally going to be able to do just that. it wasn't like an agenda type of thing, you know, where she absolutely had to get close to her, but it was something she'd been wanting to do. it was nice being able to see rowan almost everyday. especially at school and whatnot. it was only an added bonus that she was able to see her at work and whatnot. pushing herself away from the desk, she almost skipped into the bathroom in order to undress and hop into the shower. hayley loved being in the shower. it was where she washed away all of the things she did from the day before. she did most of her thinking and even most of her songwriting in the shower. finishing up, hayley grabbed the towel on the outside of the door and wrapped it around her body. tonight was going to be amazing. she was determined to make it so. after all, she was going with rowan pierce. how much more amazing could the evening get?
finally getting to her closet, hayley examined a few outfits on the inside of the wardrobe and shook her head. she had someone to impress tonight and she knew it. although, it wasn't going to be made obvious to the public. finally deciding on an outfit, she tossed it on and moved onto fixing her hair. typically, that wasn't hayley's style. sure she liked to look good when she went out in public, but generally, she just didn't really care. tonight was different. it wasn't a date or anything by any means, but she was nervous and she was excited all at the same time. it was a nice new feeling for her. checking herself in the mirror a couple of times after she finished, she nodded at herself and grabbed the keys to her truck off of her couch and headed outside, after locking up. the club was a fun place to be, for hayley anyway. she liked to dance and she liked to let everything go and have fun. after all, that's kind of what she lived for; fun. she'd do absolutely anything in order to obtain that slight adrenaline rush that fun brought before her.
hoping into the truck that was far too big for her, she started the engine and pulled out of the parking lot. turning up the music, hayley relaxed into the seat. tonight was going to be interesting. the drive wasn't a completely awful one. in fact, from her dorm it was just ten minutes which was nice. pulling into the parking lot, hayley pulled into an abandoned parking place and killed the engine of her truck. hoping out, she locked it behind her and made her way towards the club. it didn't take her long to spot rowan leaning up against of the walls, smoking a cigarette. in all honesty, hayley wasn't aware that the dark haired girl smoked. placing her hands into the back pocket of her jeans, she approached rowan with a smile. i didn't know you smoked, she joked with her for a minute before nodding her head with a grin towards the entrance of the club. luckily there wasn't much of a line that evening and they got in rather quickly. the music was loud and dance-worthy. hayley could definitely let lose to this type of music. the base was loud enough that when it hit, hayley could feel it throughout her entire body. come on. come dance with me, she said motioning towards the dance floor. she wasn't prepared to beg, but she would if she had to. one way or another, rowan was going to have a good time.

this is the rescue, the rescueTHE REASON I'VE BEEN HOLDING MY BREATH EVERY NIGHT- - - - - - - - - - - - - - Already, she was able to pick out people she knew to avoid inside. Rowan was shallow by nature, but she didn’t feel that was such a bad thing. She judged people on appearance and a lot of the time she felt it saved her the trouble of having to talk to people to decipher whether or not she wanted anything to do with them. More often then not, that wasn’t the case. Taking in another drag from her cigarette, Rowan kept her gaze glued to the ground, not in the mood to cause any trouble or be dragged into any. Hearing a rather chipper voice, she lifted her gaze to find Hayley standing in front of her. The brunette shrugged a little and flicked ash off the end of her cigarette. “I don’t, generally”. Indifference was a mask she’d managed to master at quite a young age. The less of a reaction she gave, the more people left her alone. Rowan let her eyes trail over the other girls figure, impressed with what she saw. While she had no problem admitting her sexuality, it was unusual for her to show any interest in someone and she feared she was making it much too obvious that she was checking the other girl out. “You don’t smoke?” she asked, a little curious.
Everyone warned her not to ruin her vocal cords by smoking but Rowan had never paid attention. In fact she hoped in some small way she ended up with one of those deep gravel voices that were hard to come by. Then at least she’d have something original in her music. Following Hayley, she waited in line patiently before flashing her ID at the bouncer and slipping inside. Met by the smell of sweat and bad aftershave, Rowan screwed up her face a little, already suspecting this was going to be a bad idea. Following behind Hayley closely, she tried to concentrate on the music. Music was always something that helped relax her, however the kind they played in this club only made her more agitated. Slipping her keys into a pocket of her skirt, the brunette snapped her head towards the shorter girl. “Hayley… I don’t know how to dance!”. She had to yell to her heard over the music, but there was a strain to Rowan’s words showing her discomfort for the situation. Again she had to question how she’d gotten herself into this. Why had she agreed to come out tonight? Why had a small lapse in judgment allowed her to believe she needed friends, or more importantly, one friend.
Sighing , Rowan forced herself to move onto the dance floor, already feeling people rub up against her. Not sure if it was on purpose or not; she clenched her jaw, standing still in the middle of the dance floor, feeling like a fool. Hazel eyes glued to Hayley as she watched her, as if looking for guidance on what to do .She had warned the other girl she didn’t dance. Ever. And a club had not been Rowan’s idea. The way she saw it was if Hayley wanted her to do this, then she would have to take control. Not that handing over control was something Rowan liked doing. In fact that was the root of all her problems. Control issues. Fortunately, she wasn’t completely lacking in rhythm and so could pick up the general idea of where to move her body; it was the how that was the problem. Although the club was noisy and people were bumping into her from all directions, Rowan found her eyes glued to the spark of happiness in front of her, unable to tear her eyes away from the other girl. What the hell was wrong with her?

hayley typically found herself in one of the many nightclubs found in the beautiful santa ria area. she had a lot of friends who were just as fond of the nightlife as she was and really, she went along with whatever they wanted to do. so, she generally ended up in the nightclubs or the bars. now, of course, she couldn't drink in either of those places, but she was still able to get in and dance or play pool or do whatever it was that she wanted. hayley alyssa fox was a free spirit. she did what she wanted to do, when she wanted to do them and she didn't let the people around her dictate the things that she did. she was extremely independent and didn't really care about what people thought about her. she was very much her own person and there was no one in the world that she would change that for. I don’t, generally the girl said and all hayley could do was laugh a little and shake her head. you don't smoke? she asked and hayley shook her head with a grin. smoking was a filthy habit and she never wanted to pick it up. she had seen what it had done to a lot of different people and she didn't want to end up like that. besides, she figured that there were cooler, more impressive ways to die than to do it by smoking. hayley was simply not like everyone else. she didn't do things because she thought that they were "socially acceptable". if she didn't want to do something, she had her own reasons for it. she didn't let people tell her what to do and what not to do. if she did it, it was because she wanted to do it. not someone else.
the club was a place hayley liked to be. it wasn't because it was full of people and it wasn't because of the music. in all honesty, it was a place where she could just relax and have a good time. she didn’t worry about things when she was in a place like that. how could she? it was a time when she could just leave all of the cares of the world out on the dance floor, go home, and wash it all away. hayley.. I don’t know how to dance! the girl said. shaking her head with a grin, hayley grabbed the girls hand and pulled her out onto the dance floor. honestly, hayley never took rowan as the type of person to say that she couldn’t do something. in fact, hayley believed that rowan could do anything. actually, she believed that anyone could do whatever they wanted to do, as long as they tried. dancing was not hard to do by any means. it was easy. all you had to do was move yourself to the beat and the rhythm of the music. typically, hayley found herself losing control of herself and letting her body do it all for her. everyone can dance. you’re no exception. just follow my lead she tried to yell over the music. turning to face rowan, hayley grinned and started moving herself to the beat of the bass that was blaring into the room.
hayley was extremely optimistic. she believed in the good of all mankind. she had built herself a world where evil and wickedness didn’t exist and that everyone was happy and no one was bad. in that world she grew familiar. she knew that reality was harsh and painful and that was something she never wanted to see. it wasn’t as if she was uneducated in the way of the world, because she was. it was just that she didn’t want it to be true. so, instead of looking at the world in a negative aspect, she tried to find the good in every situation that was placed before her. take this exact situation for example. rowan didn’t know how to dance. that was in no way a bad thing. that was just opportunity for hayley to teach her. it was nice knowing that rowan pierce didn’t know how to do something absolutely perfect like she did everything else. giggling a bit as she watched rowan just stand there, hayley grabbed her hand and pulled her a little bit closer. here, just dance with me. it’ll be easier now that you have someone to lead you. just relax and go with it. you’re far too tense she joked. rowan needed to relax a little bit. she wasn’t going to have any fun if she continued to be resentful and reserved. she needed to just live in the moment and be spontaneous. still, hayley knew she was a challenge, but she was absolutely ready for anything rowan decided to throw her way.

this is the rescue, the rescueTHE REASON I'VE BEEN HOLDING MY BREATH EVERY NIGHT- - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Since leaving home, Rowan had stuck to places that she knew and was familiar with. Places like star bucks and other coffee houses had become like a second home to her. They were quiet, warm and generally had a homey feel. The complete opposite to this club. Although she knew she’d suggested it, the brunette now realized she hadn’t known what she would be getting into. The music was so heavy she could feel it reverberating in her ribcage. While it was a feeling she loved, the noises in the music were too artificial for her. Basically this wasn’t her scene; already her negative attitude was setting in and she had the strongest urge to place her hands over her ears and run. Of course, she couldn’t, there were too many people and there was some part of her that was screaming at her to stay. In all honestly, Rowan cared very little about many people however watching Hayley dance, thrown in against people much bigger then herself made Rowan feel the most extraordinary thing. Protective. She felt protective of the smaller girl and it shocked her a little however like she rest of emotions, she didn’t let it show. It was hard to draw her eyes away from the other girl, there was something about her free-spirited natured that stirred jealousy within Rowan , she wanted to move as easily and be as care-free as Hayley was and watching her only made those feelings more obvious.
The other girl’s lips moved however what she was saying was lost in a sea of other noises and Rowan frowned, feeling someone bump into her from behind. Letting out a small growl of frustration she felt herself being pulled forwards. Finding herself only a few inches from Hayley, she looked down a little stunned. Listening to her words, Rowan frowned again. How exactly was she supposed to dance with Hayley? It wasn’t like they were going to start waltzing around the room. Sighing, she bit her bottom lip gently and shut her eyes, easily being able to pick up the rhythm of the music, however dreadful it was. Letting go was not something that came easily or naturally to Rowan, however with her eyes shut she couldn’t see anyone and the music was so loud she wouldn’t be able to hear people laughing at her if she happened to look as stupid as she felt. Gradually she allowed her body to move the way it wanted to, no longer standing out in the crowd. Now she was just another person. Fitting in felt odd. Opening her eyes again, she glanced up at Hayley and struggled not to let a tiny smile creep across her face.
Freedom wasn’t a feeling she was at all used to. But she felt free. It didn’t matter what she was doing now, the loss of control was a terrifying yet euphoric feeling and sent adrenaline through her body, causing Rowan to feel like she was tingling all over. Perhaps it was the rush of adrenaline or the fact she didn’t at all feel like herself that caused the girl to do what she did next. Reaching out, she grabbed Hayley around the hips and pulled her forwards, closing the small gap between them until she felt herself pressing against the other girl. Placing a hand on Hayley’s lower back she kept her close, not really worried if it made her feel awkward at all. Rowan looked down at her and smiled softly, brushing a piece of hair out of the other girl’s face, staring at her. “Stand still for a moment, kay?”. Cupping Hayley’s face in her hands, Rowan pressed her lips softly against the other girls for a few seconds, before pulling back. Dropping her hands, she bit her bottom lip, not at all sure how the other girl would react. It was common knowledge that Hayley fox liked girls, so she didn’t think that was going to be an issues however she was just standing there looking kind of shocked. Perhaps a night she’d expected to be bad was about to turn to total and utter shit.

there was a lot of different things that made hayley the person that she was. she had a lot of different personality traits and every single one of them added to the person that she was. hayley was her own person. she didn't care about what everyone thought about the things that she did. that was typically why she felt comfortable in the night clubs and whatnot. hayley didn't really care about what the people around her thought. she didn't care if they were laughing at her because she couldn't dance and she didn't care about their opinions on the clothing she wore or the people she decided to occupy herself with. it was what she wanted to do in the place that she wanted to do them. that was the way she lived her life and she wasn't planning on letting anyone change that about her. moving her body to the sounds of the music made her feel free. it made her feel like there wasn't a single worry or care in the world that she had to think about. when it came to clubs and whatnot, she could just let go of all of the pressures of the world and relax into the beat of the music. though, this time, it was strange. instead of looking around at her surroundings the majority of the time, her attention seemed to be focused onto one particular location; one particular person. it didn't matter if the most beautiful women of the world were in the club, all hayley would have been able to see was rowan. the dark haired girl had be-witched her and hayley refused to fight it. for the first time in her life, hayley wasn't in control and she was perfectly alright with that fact.
rowan was tense and it was completely evident when hayley pulled her closer in order to dance with her. it saddened hayley to see such a beautiful girl be so completely tense all the time. especially ones with so much talent. rowan just needed to calm down, sit back, relax, and have a good time. god only knew how long it had been since she had smiled. grinning a little as she pulled her closer and as she watch rowan analyze the situation, hayley shook her head and continued to move to the sounds that filled the room. she was a lot shorter than the majority of the people in the room, but like the rest of the things that made her different than the population, it didn't really phase her. closing her eyes, she drifted away into the music once again. of course, the site was different when she opened up her eyes. instead of seeing rowan just standing there, the dark haired girl has started to let herself relax a bit and let her body take control. her movements were precise and each of them had a purpose. it was honestly a site she didn't expect to see the entire duration of the evening, but she was extremely happy she was able to watch. it was hard for her to tear her eyes away from rowan as she danced. her movements were mesmerizing and hayley was caught in it.
being at the club with rowan felt.. right. it was a feeling she hadn't felt in quite some time. not since she left las vegas. las vegas was her home and she hadn't been the same since she left, but being there with rowan made her completely forget about her home. it made her feel like that was exactly where she was supposed to be and rowan was supposed to be there with her. what happened next took her by complete surprise. she felt herself being pulled towards the dark haired girl and the next thing she knew she was inches away from rowan. it was in absolutely no way a bad thing. hayley stared back at rowan as the girl gazed down upon her and moved a strand of hair from her face. Stand still for a moment, kay? the girl said and hayley nodded her head. she probably couldn't have spoke even if she wanted to. rowan had a weird power over her that disabled her ability to breathe let alone speak. rowan's hand cupped hayley's face and after a moment or so their lips met. hayley's eyes closed and rowan pulled away. there were absolutely no words that hayley could muster up. in the few moments prior to the kiss, the world stopped moving and their surroundings completely vanished. as loud as the room was, all hayley could hear was her own heart beating. it sounded as if it were going to beat completely out of her chest. i.. um.. was all she could manage to say. never before in her life had she had her breath taken away just from a single kiss. it seemed almost unreal.
for quite some time, hayley had wondered what it would have been like to be with rowan. maybe not even with rowan, but just to.. kiss her. she had caught herself staring at the dark haired girl far too many times in the past. her mind wandered and she couldn't control it. now that it was actually happening, she didn't know what to do or how to react. it had taken her off guard completely. it wasn't that she wasn't happy, because she was completely overjoyed. she just.. didn't exactly know how to express it. the next thing she had to worry about was what she was going to do next. did she reach out and kiss her back? or was that just a spur of the moment thing? you know, when one gets all caught up in the moment and they can't control themselves. all of these questions were rushing through hayley's head and she didn't know how to make them stop or go away. she'd never been this flustered before. rowan was something special alright.

this is the rescue, the rescueTHE REASON I'VE BEEN HOLDING MY BREATH EVERY NIGHT- - - - - - - - - - - - - -
In the few moments before she’d kissed the girl, Rowan had very few thoughts running through her head. The only other girl she’d ever kissed had been her sort of girlfriend in the rehab clinic she’d gone to, Angela. That had been different though. She’d worried about to many things, where to put her hands, if her breath smelt, what if she accidently shoved her tongue down the other girls throat. With Hayley though it was different. As her lips lowered to the other girls the only thing Rowan could think about was Hayley and how badly she wanted to kiss her. It wasn’t as if someone was holding a gun to her head and forcing her to do this. This was what she wanted what she desired in that moment and was something she had a feeling she’d wanted to do for a long time. Rowan had never had any trouble with taking what she wanted and being forwards was simply part of her nature. She didn’t have low self esteem; actually it was quite high and she a tendency to be arrogant. But for some reason kissing Hayley made her nervous and made her want to second guess herself, as if maybe she wasn’t good enough for the other girl. It was an odd thought as normally Rowan believed no one was good enough for her.
As she pulled back, she heard Hayley stutter a little and gazed down at her, waiting for a reaction. However the other girl just stood there, looking shocked. Chewing her bottom lip uncomfortably, Rowan crossed her arms over her chest, waiting to see if perhaps she’d just caught the other girl off guard. She just continued to stand there and Rowan started to worry. Was what she’d done to forwards? She didn’t think she was a bad kisser, so that couldn’t be it. The music finally registered in her mind again and Rowan realized where she was and what had just happened. It appeared to her, that Hayley hadn’t wanted what had just happened. Feeling like a complete fool, she dropped her gaze to the ground and mumbled a ‘sorry’ and turned from the girl, pushing her way out of the crowd that seemed to have become more dense in the few moment’s she’d tuned out. Embarrassment was starting to over take her and Rowan kept her head down, not wanting anyone to see the flush that had crossed over her cheeks. Even though it was dark and everyone was pre-occupied with their own lives she felt as if they were all staring at her, laughing at the idiotic mistake she’d made.
She would have to see Hayley at work and at school and she’d just fucked it all up, majorly. At least that’s how she felt. All Rowan wanted to do was get out of this club which was now making her feel claustrophobic , go home, shower and sit in her kitchen counting the calories on the packets on all her food. It was kind of silly, Rowan was no good at math but when it came to calorie counting she was a genius. Eventually, people seemed to get the idea she wanted out and let her pass, although it was still a tight squeeze and by the time she reached the entrance to the club, Rowan had worked herself up and she was angry.Angry at herself, at Hayley for suggesting they come, for letting Hayley make a fool out of her, for even being attracted to the girl really. Stomping outside she grabbed her keys from her pocket and her wallet, making her way towards her car. Throwing the drivers seat door open, she rummaged through the glove box until she came upon a half empty packet of cigarettes and pulled one out, hoping the nicotine would calm her nerves and her aggression. Lighting it she took a drag and leant against the side of her car, hopefully out of sight of everyone. While Rowan smoked she didn’t want her car to stink of cigarettes and so refused to smoke inside of it. Running a hand through her messy brown hair she lent her head back and sighed, not being able to belive how much of an idiot she’d been.

hayley was never much of one for confrontation. she tried to avoid it at all possible costs. well, at least the strange, awkward situations and confrontations. it wasn’t her favorite feeling to feel; being awkward. she wasn’t exactly sure how to react to the kiss. kissing rowan was something that hayley wanted to do for quite some time. it wasn’t goal of hers or anything, but it was a longing.. a desire that she never managed to get under control. though, when it happened, she just couldn’t believe it. she wasn’t expecting it and it caught her off guard. also, it wasn’t like rowan to just start kissing random girls. especially girls like hayley fox. hayley didn’t see herself as awful looking or anything like that, but rowan lyric pierce was not a people person, whereas hayley was. rowan didn’t find comfort around other people like hayley did and that was what she was the most taken back by. hayley had kissed a lot of girls in her past, but none of them had any significance to her whatsoever. they may have been friends or something, but that was about it. regardless of popular belief, hayley had never actually been in any sort of relationship with a girl before. she was more or less just a free spirit that got her kicks by kissing the girls that caught her attention. it wasn’t that she didn’t want to settle down or anything like that, but hayley was ridiculously old fashioned. the way she saw things, she was going to settle with finding a person she could live with, she was set on finding the one person that she couldn’t live without before actually committing to any sort of relationship. sexual or otherwise.
by the time the enormous smile crossed her face, rowan had already started making her way towards the exit of the club. that was the absolute last thing that hayley wanted to see. rowan walking away from her made her extremely distressed and almost sad. with the smile still firmly planted on her face, she started making her way through the crowd inside of the club. given the fact she lacked in muscles and the fact that she was small, she found it extremely difficult to maneuver her way through the numbers of people that continuously got in her way. there was a time when she lost sight of rowan and her heart sank. she couldn’t even imagine the things that rowan had to have been feeling. hayley wasn’t known for her quick reaction to things, so it was only natural for her to freeze up the way that she did. though, she knew that it looked bad in rowan’s eyes. she couldn’t imagine the thoughts that were running through rowan’s mind as the girl desperately tried to get herself out of the club and as far away from hayley as she possibly could. of course, hayley couldn’t necessarily blame her. had the roles been reversed, there was no doubt that hayley would have reacted the exact same way. it was a little known fact that hayley was not the best when it came to being rejected. she didn’t take it very well, though of course, nobody would have known that unless she would have told them. disappointment, fear, and sadness were hard to sense when it came to hayley fox. in a way, she was a master of deception. people saw exactly what she wanted them to see. nothing more and nothing less. finally managing to fight her way through the crowd, hayley grabbed the door of the club and ripped it open. she hoped to whatever god there was that rowan hadn’t had the opportunity to leave yet. it was odd, really. hayley had never actually chased after a girl before like she had chased after rowan. it wasn’t necessarily natural for her, but again, it was just something that felt right to her. like, if she let rowan leave the club and its primacies before she could get to her, she’d end up being ‘the one that got away’ and she wasn’t going to let that happen. spotting rowan by her car, hayley’s smile only widened as she made her way in the dark haired girl’s direction. the fact that rowan was smoking again didn’t even phase hayley like it typically would have. instead, the entire walk towards the vehicle, hayley debated with herself the words that she wanted to say to her. though nothing seemed good enough. nothing seemed to get her point that the kiss wasn’t a mistake and that it was the one thing that she was too scared to do herself across the way that she needed to get it across. so, of course, hayley found another way to express it. it was as if she had absolutely no control over herself or her actions. upon reaching the dark haired girl, hayley grabbed the girl’s wrist and pulled her closer to her in order to capture her lips with her own. words didn’t seem like the correct option in the given situation. they seemed almost irrelevant. regardless of how she would have phrased her apology, it wouldn’t have come out right. instead, she did the next best thing. rowan pierce was something different. something good, and hayley wasn’t about to let her go.

this is the rescue, the rescueTHE REASON I'VE BEEN HOLDING MY BREATH EVERY NIGHT- - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Rowan could not believe her own stupidity. The cigarette in her hand was burning slowly and although she’d original wanted to smoke it, she was very much aware the taste of the smoke would take away the taste of Hayley and she wasn’t so sure she was willing to give that up yet. Yes it had seemed like a mistake, even though it had felt so right, but it didn’t mean she regretted doing it. No, Rowan simply dread the consequences of what would now follow. Hayley didn’t seem like the type to make fun of anyone but there was an uneasy feeling sitting at the pit of the brunette’s stomach. People were walking through the car park every few minutes, Rowan thought nothing of it until she heard footsteps coming towards her. Looking up, the sight she saw shocked her. Hayley Alyssa Fox was walking towards her quickly, the most ridiculous grin on her face. It didn’t seem to hold any malice in it but she’d never trusted anyone before, why start now? Before Rowan could even open her mouth to speak, Hayley had grabbed her wrists and pulled her in close again, their lips colliding for the second time that night . Completely caught off guard, Rowan froze for a moment, her eyes widening a little in shock as she registered what was happening. Hayley was….kissing her?
She was thoroughly confused, a moment ago hadn’t the other girl been looking at Rowan like she’d slapped her with a week old fish? After a few second of standing still, the cigarette dropped from in between her fingers and her arm wrapped around the smaller girls waist, pulling her in, kissing her back with a sudden ferocity that scared even Rowan. She hadn’t wanted to do something like this with anyone since she’d met Angela and keeping her hands to herself seemed to be a hard task. Her hands slipped down to sit on Hayley’s hips, squeezing them gently. A slight feeling of euphoria passed through her and Rowan couldn’t stop herself from tugging on the other girls bottom lip playfully. She was not a sexual being by nature, but there were certain things Rowan liked to do and she was very forwards about them. Unfortunately the need for air over came her and she had to pull back, staring down at Hayley in wonder. “I don’t understand…I thought…” the words she wanted to use to explain her confusion refused to come out and Rowan bit her bottom lip, stopping herself from babbling completely before she made a fool out of herself. Sucking in a deep breath, she glanced into Hayley’s eyes for a moment trying again. “I thought you didn’t want….”
The hands placed on the girls hips seemed to have a mind of their own as they slipped beneath the back of Hayley’s’ shirt, pulling her in closer. Rowan buried her face in the other girls hair, well aware they were still in the middle of a parking lot and very aware of the fact what they were doing was not classy at all. Sighing, she pulled back and looked at Hayley, not feeling at all like herself. Stroking a thumb over the other girls cheek she lent down and brushed her lips against the other girls softly, confused by the way it was making her feel. “I don’t understand this” she admitted quietly. Rowan barely ever spoke to anyone, let alone made out with almost strangers in car parks. “No one can know about this” it wasn’t that Rowan was ashamed of the fact she was bi-sexual, she just didn’t want to deal with all the questions nor did she want people to assume she was now approachable and make her life a living hell. Pulling her hands back from Hayley’s shirt, she crossed them over her arms awkwardly. “This isn’t like me… the brunette muttered the words, unsure of if she was trying to convince herself or Hayley. She had the strongest urge to pull the other girl back into herself and never let her go, but the other half of her , which was winning, was telling her to flee. So what Hayley had come and kissed her, that wasn’t a big deal, right?
'CAUSE THIS WAS JUST A MESS WE COULD NEVER REALLY HIDE and now i'm paying for all the mistakes that you've made Hayley Alyssa Fox music! N/A words! seven one four template!La-La-Lianotes! I really don’t know what happened with that post, don’t ask. [/ul]
