shot through the heart & you're to blameDARLING YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Summer had to admit, she was a little dressed up for a study session with a student. She had her the top half of her hair in a pony tail with her bangs falling on her forehead. Eddie was sitting on the floor, playing with his wibble wobble toys. A smile of child glee spread across his face as the little people kept popping up after him pushing them down. She missed his father. More than anything in the world. Her heart ached each time she thought of him. She sighed and looked in the mirror. She spread pink lip gloss over her lips and eyeliner lightly around her eyes. She looked in the mirror and gave a satisfied nod. Her heels clicked on the tile as she moved into the kitchen to get a drink of water. Maddox was off doing his thing and probably wouldn't be home till real late. She dumped a bag of potato chips into a bowl and set them on the coffee table along with the soda and the many books on Indian History. Eddie looked up at his young mother, his father's brown eyes met her icy blue ones. She gave him a sweet smile. He let out a yawn so she picked him up and put him into his crib in her room.
She turned out the light and closed the door quietly. Eddie was a surprisingly a wonderful sleeper. When he was tired, he went to sleep. A pretty heavy sleeper too. The soft music from his cd player echoed through the walls, softly, the tune to classic lullabies, Rock a Bye Baby, Hush Little Baby, etc. She took a seat on the couch and turned on the tv, watching 16 and Pregnant on MTV. Watching this made her feel a little better about her young pregnancy. At least she wasn't 16. Her mother would have killed her. Well she almost killed her for her marriage at 18 and pregnancy at early 19. Well, there was nothing she could do about it now. She crossed her legs and watched the emotional breakdowns on the television. She looked over at the clock, the time ticked by, he should be here soon she thought.
She got up and picked up the toys from the floor and but them in the chest where all the different kinds of toys were. Firetrucks, teddy bears, GI Joes, little kid puzzles, books, those big lego things, even that toy were you yank the string and the arrow would circle, land on an animal, and say the sound that the animal would make. The chest magically closed and the carpet was all cleared off. She grabbed a soda, popped it open and took a big swig of it and the caffeine rushed through her veins and tingled throughout her body. Dr. Pepper had got to be the best soda ever. She pulled her fingers through the bottom layer of her hair while taking a seat on the couch again. She picked up a book and started flipping through the pages. She loved history, something about knowing why things were and how they came to be, was just so interesting to her.

Down. Down. Down. So what was the count now? Damien lost track. Only a few months and quite a few girls, and a teacher or two, had went for it with him. It was if he was in some dream where girls just came and went with him. It was to say, interesting to say the least. Moments where slipping by him gently, albeit he needed the help in this subject actually. Damien had gotten a bug and had missed a few classes, now he was running short on Ancient History information. The Hindu holy books were flying through his head. Maybe this wouldn't be his first pleasure trip in a while. Just maybe he had time to actually learn. Or you never know. The boy could just be that lucky. Damien went to the door of the home and knocked gently. Wearing the usual Armani suit, Damien waited patiently for someone to open the door. Maybe she knocked out waiting for him, even though he was right on time, you never know with some people. The teacher Ms. Holtz was kind enough to say she'd tutor him. Which also made him wonder, where did all these 20 year-old teachers come from. Damien had expected some age but they all seemed pretty young. He felt like he was in "The Graduate" or "A Streetcar Named Desire." The boy seduced by a not-significantly older teacher into her bed...dot dot dot. Damien let out a soft laugh and smoothed out his suit. He brought her some lilacs, least he could do. She was going out of her way to help. What could possibly go wrong? Famous last words right. Damien paid little attention to those thoughts and smelled his collar. Anywhere he went out, Damien had to look his best. He would never see himself below that, it just wasn't him. Now. Where was she?

shot through the heart & you're to blameDARLING YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - A knock at the door echoed into the family room. She hit the power button on the remote and the tv screen went silent and black. A soft cry then was heard that was starting to get louder. Summer went into her room, picked up the little boy, calming him before answering the door. She put the child on her hip and opened the door with her free hand. Outside was Damien, looking sharp as usual. Eddie automatically stopped his crying once he saw Damien. Eddie just loved people. He especially liked Damien for some reason. Probably because he's usually just around Summer and Maddox. And Damien is one of the few people that he sees that he doesn't see everyday. Summer smiled. "Sorry it took so long, this one started to cry as soon as you knocked." He was started to sink down her hip so she bounced him back up.
She saw that he was carrying flowers, she smiled again. "Those are gorgeous! Well come on in. Take a seat on the couch, I got to get this one back down to bed and then we can get to work." She headed for the bedroom. "Now I put out soda and chips but if you want something else, help yourself to the kitchen." She called as she opened the door. She placed the little one back in his crib and kissed his forehead. "Please go back to sleep Eddie? Please?" She whispered and layed him down, pulling the blanket over his little body. She smiled softly at him and petted his head. He reached out and grabbed his favorite teddy bear that his father gave him the day he was born and hugged it close to him. "Thank you." She whispered again and softly closed the door. She walked back into the living room and took a seat next to Damien on the couch.
"Okay then, last week we covered chapter 2 and the week before we did chapter 1." She opened one of the text books to chapter 3. It was covered in text, pictures, and colors. This was a short chapter it shouldn't take them that long. "Now read this page right here and highlight key things, not whole sections though." She said, handing him the book and the highlighter. "And then explain to me why you highlighted those sections." She said, going into the kitchen. She pulled out a vase out of one of the cabinets, filled half of it with warm water, put some Sprite into it, and lastly put the flowers in. Working at a flower shop had its advantages. She took the vase and put them on the coffee table and sat back down and opened her own teacher text book. She flipped to the chapter review question part and looked over the questions and answers.

Down. Down. Down. Damien tilted his head once it opened. With a smile he waved at the baby. "It's alright, he probably was just trying to tell you someone's at the door." Damien said with a light smile. One of the things that cooled Damien's heart was little children. They where so innocent. Lucky they never had to experience... Damien shook it off. To have parents was so foreign to him now. That love, that affection. It was almost like parents have never existed for him. "Glad you liked them." Damien added with a gentle smile getting into the chips and taking one, crunching on it gently. Taking a Dr. Pepper, Damien smirked. Was there any drink better than Dr. Pepper? Looking out to the kitchen, Damien smirked. "Well alcohol would be interesting, but you don't seem the type to have that in the house. So I think I'm fine with this." Damien answered with a gentle raise of the can. "Cheers."Damien took a sip and placed it down. Sitting back Damien opened it and started lighting the pages up with a highlighter. Damien smiled and looked through it. "Ok so I highlighted mainly the effect Buddhism and Hinduism affected India and China in the 5th century B.C. This fusion of culture with the philosophy of Taoism and Confucianism helped mark the rise of monotheism in the later part of the B.C.E era. Damien added with a short smile. "Also for the fun of it, I highlighted the Hindu holy books and their effect now. In the end, Damien's mind was a fast one. Of course he had some issues with the memory, but he could catch the point quickly. "So how does this all play out with the dynasties though? Damien said with an arched eyebrow, resting the back of the highlighter on his chin.

shot through the heart & you're to blameDARLING YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - She laughed when he said that Eddie was trying to tell her that there was someone at the door. That little trickster! Crying when someone was at the door so his mother would come get him so he could see who was here. He's a smart one. Well, he was her son. Brains do run in the family. Damien waved at Eddie and he smiled and ducked his head into his mothers chest. Children could be so shy. He put his cheek against Summer so he could still see the boy standing in front of him, but still hiding into the safety of his mother. Summer laughed again. She bounced him up again, keeping him up on her hip. She kissed the top of his little brunette head. He got his brown hair from his mother and his dark eyes from his father. Which could be a little heart breaking, but you know, day by day. And it was one of the main things that Summer had that kept her connected to her husband. Her husband had brown hair too but with brown eyes. Summer had amazing blue eyes that was complimented more than any other of her traits.
"Glad you liked them." She smiled. "I love flowers, as cliche as that sounds." She looked at the pretty purple flowers. They smelt very nice. She worked at a flower shop throughout her high school and college days. Probably her second dream job. Just being around wonderful smells and beautiful colors was the best thing that she could think of. But being a high school teacher, for some reason, was the best thing for her. Her mom thought so too. She had patience, smarts, and just loved to teach and learn more, as stupid as that sounded.
She smiled when he said, "Well alcohol would be interesting, but you don't seem the type to have that in the house. So I think I'm fine with this." "You forget, I'm only 20. I'm not even allowed to buy alcohol. And don't seem the type? I went to college, I partyed." She looked in the fridge again. She pulled out a bottle of red wine and walked back into the living room. "See, I'm a cool teacher." She took the cork screw off the counter and took out the cork. She grabbed two wine glasses and poured some wine into each of the cups. "Would you like some? Oh, you don't seem the type to like alcohol." She smirked and took a sip out of her own glass and handed him the other. She knew that this was a bad idea, but she was under age too. He was 18, he could handle himself. And he didn't seem the kind of kid to snitch. I mean, why not? Right? This could be dull, why not liven it up?
"Ok so I highlighted mainly the effect Buddhism and Hinduism affected India and China in the 5th century B.C. This fusion of culture with the philosophy of Taoism and Confucianism helped mark the rise of monotheism in the later part of the B.C.E era. Also for the fun of it, I highlighted the Hindu holy books and their effect now." She nodded, taking another sip of her wine. He asked her how it played out in the dynasties. "Well, religion ties into government, no matter how much you tried to fight it. This is more of an opinion question, well at least I think so. And the religion of the people effect how they live their lives, how they rule their government, and how they do pretty much anything. That's why if you study culture, you have to study the religion. Is that what your asking? Or are you asking specific?"

Down. Down. Down. Damien smiled. "Not that cliche, it's just honest. Damien added sitting back gently... After getting the wine glass, Damien rolled his eyes. "You were cool for doing this in the first place, you just added put the icing on the cake." Damien added raising the glass handed to him. "You know I'd love some, and this is true, must have been fun." Damien added as he rolled his eyes in a gentle laugh. "Salud" Damien finally spoke holding it up high then sipping. Isn't this usually how bad, yet hot things started? Oh well.... Damien smirked and listened to her speak. "I was being specific, guess on which part...though I would love to hear more of your opinion." Damien added with a gentle laugh taking another sip of the gentle nectar that was wine. Returning to the her, he had to admit that he was in one of those horrible positions. Damien had to admit, for an all girls school, they were able to hire actually really young and well, beautiful teachers. Not with just the one with him, but with a few others, Damien had been in the ranks of gorgeous women all over the school. Damien was 18 now, so he had a more level-head than most of his classmates and he used that to his advantage because out of many of them, Damien felt he could actually have an adult relationship with people. So by that way, Damien sometimes jumped from the girls in the school to strangers and teachers. In the end, maybe Damien just wanted that adult relationship. He was already geared up for war. So why not?

shot through the heart & you're to blameDARLING YOU GIVE LOVE A BAD NAME - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - "Not that cliche, it's just honest." She had to smile. "So true. Well then, I love flowers." She took another deep breath of the lavender scent. It filled her nostrils and up into her brain. The scent was so strong she could taste it in her mouth. Her eyes watered just a little bit. Her ears, well, they weren't involved in this little sensation. But, they had to be recognized. And the touch? Well, she was holding the vase if that counts. Lavender always smelt really good to her. She just loved it. Flowers in general. Well technically, it was the butterflies that smelt good that the flowers copied, but that was besides the point...
He took the glass. "You were cool for doing this in the first place, you just added put the icing on the cake. You know I'd love some, and this is true, must have been fun. Salud." She smiled, "Well thank you, I do try. Cheers." She said, raising her glass and taking a sip of her wine. It trickled down her throat and burned its way into her stomach, sending the alcohol buzzing through her veins and charging her body with energy and ease at the same time.
"I was being specific, guess on which part...though I would love to hear more of your opinion." She took another sip of her wine before speaking again. "Well..." She explained how the dynasties in India related to religion.
