It was after school and David had no where to go. Since it was a regular Monday afternoon he didn’t have a gig later that night at one of the local clubs with his band, so he was stuck on campus for the rest of the day. Walking into his dorm room building he looked around for anyone he knew but his efforts turned up fruitless, so into his dorm room he went and changed into something more comfortable since he was going to be relaxing in the lounge. Putting some basketball shorts on and a regular shirt on he grabbed his electric guitar, his IPod and walked out of his dorm room. The reason for his dorm room being on the bottom floor was simple, it was much easier to sneak girls into his room after hours on the first floor; the window could just be opened and closed as soon as the girl was in. If he would have gotten a room on the third floor he would have to sneak her in some other way and since his gigs ended late on the weekends it’d be tough to get a girl into his room late at night. Walking into the lounge he looked around and saw a lot of people around but decided on going to one of the empty couches and took a seat. Kicking his feet up on the nearest table he laid back, took his electric guitar out of its case and began to tune the strings before doing anything else. While tuning the strings he looked up at the TV and saw highlights for last nights football games, which unfortunately showed his team getting beat down by a very wide margin. Once his strings were finely tuned he pulled out his lucky pick from behind his ear (it is always there though no one ever notices), and began to test the strings to make sure they were tuned to his liking. Once they were tested and to his liking, he began to polish the silver on the guitar, never did he play his guitar without first polishing the silver, and this was why his band always had to arrive an hour early to every gig. After the guitar was polished he pulled out his iPod and put his favorite band, Metallica, on and began to listen to a song he felt like playing. After listening for a few minutes Fade to Black came on and this song had one of his favorite guitar solos. Quietly he began to sing along perfectly to the lyrics and when the guitar solo came up he began to play it perfectly on the guitar. It didn’t sound as good without his amp, which he never used in the lounge cause of complaints, but if you had a fine tuned ear you would hear him playing it perfectly. His fingers were quickly moving up and down the guitar strings, and when the song was over he stopped playing and began to polish the silver of his guitar again as he listened to another Metallica song. Word Count: 509 Note: Decent starter I think. Clothes: some shorts and a regular shirt, image is all for show. lol Guitar: ClickTag: Open

It could be said that Hailee Weston leaned towards the slutty side, and often it was said. But if you asked the girl herself, she'd deny it in a flash. In her opinion, she wasn't something so derogatory; sure she had sex more often than some girls, but who cared? And most of the time it didn't even get that far and was simply a make-out session anyways, so it's not like she always jumped into bed with the guys she met. But the point was, she didn't feel she was quite loose enough to be deemed a skank or slut. People were always blowing things out of proportion. Not to mention they were always just assuming things. On this particular day, Hailee had simply been working on a project with her lab partner in said partner's dorm room. It was an innocent event, and nothing remotely physical or erotic happened. But as she came through the elevator door and stepped into the lounge on the first floor, she knew that the guys that glanced her way probably were assuming she'd just gotten done having sex with someone.
The raven-haired junior didn't care, though. And just to mess with them more, she winked at a couple of guys that were looking at her. Inwardly she rolled her eyes as she passed them, thinking to herself about how they were idiots. It was ridiculous how the guys could fuck whoever they pleased and be cheered on, while girls were labeled as sluts if they screwed around too much. Double-standards aside, Hailee just didn't like it when people tried to assume things about others when really, they knew absolutely nothing. Hailee was indignant about being judged like that, and in her head was always thinking things along the lines of "you don't know me." These were statements rarely spoken out loud, because sometimes it prompted people to try and discover the truth, or demand that she enlighten them. To oblige would mean being honest, which the girl rarely was about herself. Sure she could be perfectly blunt about everything else, but about her own issues and problems? Yeah, hell no.
The junior strode through the lounge and was planning on making a prompt exit to perhaps go get something to eat, when she heard the soft sounds of music coming from across the room. Hailee looked over curiously and saw David alone, playing his guitar and singing. She'd seen him and his band playing at various locations around town, and had to admit he was pretty good. Hailee shifted the strap of her bag higher onto her shoulder as she deftly navigated herself through the crowd in the lounge. Eventually she found herself standing behind David's couch, and grinned as she listened to him playing. A few moments later he'd finished and was polishing his guitar, at which point she jumped over the back of the couch and landed next to him. After settling herself, she grinned over at him. "What's up?" she asked, leaning in towards his iPod to see what he was listening to. "Metallica. Why am I not surprised?" she said with a laugh.

David was really getting into his polishing and singing. He loved Metallica more then any other band, and in his opinion they were the best band to ever exist. Sure, others would disagree with him, but the key words were ‘in his opinion.’ Almost every Metallica song he had memorized, in his dorm room he had a CD case for just Metallica CD’s, if there was a Metallica CD he didn’t have it was news to him because he had them all. As he continued to polish, he continued to sing along to the song playing, the better the song the louder he got, and at this point he had forgotten he was in the lounge full of people. When his polishing was done he was about to get ready to play another badass solo when all of a sudden Hailee came out of no where and nearly made him drop his pride and joy guitar. Looking at her curiously he did a double take to make sure he wasn’t simply imagining things but after closing and opening his eyes she was still there sitting down next to him. How he hadn’t spotted her walk in his direction he’ll never know, because she always turned heads as she walked by. Watching her curiously as she leaned in to hear what was playing he laughed with her at what she said and took the head phones off of his ears and grinned. “whats up? You nearly made me drop my guitar, that’s what’s up.” he told her truthfully polishing his guitar off one last time before setting it back in its case so he wouldn’t risk dropping it. “And you know by now I always listen to bands with great guitar play. Last I checked Metallica by far have the best guitar solos, no one comes even close to them. Best lyrics, best drums, best guitar; put that all together and you got yourself the best band.” he added with a nod of his head while pausing his iPod so he didn’t miss the rest of that song. Wrapping the head phones around the iPod he put it in his shorts pocket before leaning back into the couch and subtly checking her out. It was hard not to check her out, and even harder when she was wearing a very sexy pair of shorts. What could he do? Hailee had a sexy pair of legs on her, he was just hoping it wasn’t obvious what he was doing; maybe he could pass it off like he was looking down at his guitar. “You must have been stealthy to surprise me like that, must have required all your cunning.” he stopped to laugh quietly at the reference he just used. “Where’d you come from? Didn’t see you walk in through the front, would have spotted you if you had.” he looked at her curiously nodding his head. Only thing that came to mind was she came from one of the dorm rooms, and Hailee being the great schoolgirl that she is (XD)was surely just working on homework. “What's up? You nearly made me drop my guitar, that’s what’s up.” Hailee couldn't help grinning at David's reply, but truthfully she would have felt awful if he'd really dropped his guitar. Although Hailee could often be quiet bitchy and hard to get along with, she overall wasn't a bad person, and she didn't like upsetting people she liked. And she did like David; he was hot and fun, not to mention a good kisser. It was obvious he'd be devastated if anything happened to his guitar, although most people that attended boarding schools were fairly well off at least, so he could probably have the guitar fixed. But still, that wasn't the point. And again, as she thought about him probably be able to afford repairs to the instrument, she was reminded of how out of place she was in the Norrington world. It was a wonder she could afford to attend the school; really it was taking up all the inheritance her mother had left her, and whatever was left of her father's money. The man had been a doctor and a big earner back in his prime; then he became and alcoholic and it was all downhill from there. But surprisingly enough, he'd consented to pitching in to pay for Hailee's school. The two loathed each other, and Edward probably just wanted his daughter out of the house and away from him as much as possible.
How odd, that a man could be both abusive of his daughter and also provide her with a top education using all his saved money. But as usual, Hailee pushed the thoughts of her father out of her head almost as soon as they'd pushed their way into her mind. She never wanted to think about him. Why would she? Especially when she was currently sitting next to someone much better. But was he really better? After all she'd been through, Hailee didn't trust men, not really. Whenever she looked at one, she couldn't help wondering if it was a future Edward in waiting. With a mental smack, Hailee returned her attention to David as he babbled on about music. The girl really didn't care enough about music to pick it apart; if a song sounded good, it sounded good. Simple as that. She wasn't going to dissect it as David the musician did. "If you say so," she responded with a light laugh. Metallica really wasn't her style of music, but she didn't judge other people for what they listened to.
"Cunning? Pfft. You were totally absorbed in your music. I don't think you would have noticed if a rhino had been coming your way," she said with a grin as she crossed her legs and got comfortable on the couch. "I was in the dorms." She gestured vaguely towards the elevator as she spoke. "Working on a project with my lab partner," she added before he could get the wrong idea. "So I came up from behind. I like it from behind," she laughed, characteristically turning something simple into something dirty as she was prone to do. To add to the effect, she winked dramatically and smirked. It was all in good fun, but she couldn't help her mind wandering deeper into the gutter as it pictured actually doing things with David that involved "from behind." Too bad he never went that far with anyone. Silly virgins. She ran a hand through her black hair and cleared her throat before shifting a little on the couch as she brought her mind back down to Earth. She was checking David out as he did the same to her, but was trying a lot less hard to be subtle. "So how's life?" she asked as a way of refocusing herself.

If there was one thing you can expect from David it was for him to use some type of TV or movie reference at one point during the conversation. David watched a lot of TV and movies when he wasn’t doing homework, boxing, or practicing. Since those three normally took up a lot of time he normally got stuck watching TV late at night, and last he checked family guy was always shown around midnight. That show kept him awake for hours on end, and even went far enough to buy all the seasons on DVD. No longer did he have to wait for the TV to show it and instead simply popped in the DVD and was ready to go as he practiced on his guitar without knowing it. That was another thing, at times David could have his guitar in his hands while talking or watching TV and he would not even know his hands are moving up and down on the strings; it was a natural thing he did now after so long.
Looking at Hailee’s legs he had begun to zone out a bit and remembered she was talking and heard what she said in response to him breaking down Metallica. Her little laugh was funny because it sounded like she didn’t care too much, but only musicians could break down music the way he did so he couldn’t blame her. When she didn’t mention a thing about his reference he assumed she didn’t watch the show so decided not to point it out and laughed loudly at what she said. “If a rhino had been coming my way I would have noticed because the ground would have shook a little bit.” he added still laughing with a slight nod of his head. She was right though, he was so into his music that if a rhino could somehow manage to be very quiet he never would have seen it coming. And just like he thought she was in the dorms, but what was she doing in the dorms? That question was answered quickly when she pointed out that she was working with her lab partner. Even though his first thought was the dorms and that she was working on a project his mind did wander a bit to something else, but unlike most guys in this building he didn’t assume that she was having sex every time she was in a dorm room alone with another guy.
Her next line however did make his mind wander and immediately began to think a bunch of sexy thoughts about her and giving it to her from behind. She laughed about it because she knew what it would do to him, and tried to shake the thoughts from his head but her getting it from behind was just to sexy a thought. The only reason he was able to start thinking clearly again was because she shifted on the couch and asked another question. Before answering he coughed slightly and ran a hand through his hair to regain his thoughts, he didn’t want anything unnecessary to come out from his mouth just now. “Life’s good, band is doing great, and still an undefeated boxer. We have a gig this weekend at the club downtown if you want to go. I can even get you one of those VIP passes to go backstage.” he told her with a simple nod of his head. “Besides that, what about you? How is your life?”

“If a rhino had been coming my way I would have noticed because the ground would have shook a little bit.” Hailee grinned at his response, thinking he had a pretty decent point there. "Okay so basically... next time I approach you, I have to make sure to jump enough to shake the ground so that you know I'm coming," she said with a laugh, amused at the thought of jumping over to him out of nowhere. Not that she would ever do that. Though Hailee for the most part was not worried about what people thought of her, there were some lines she didn't want to cross. Randomly acting like a jackhammer was one of them. Every teenager cared about public opinion to some degree, and Hailee was no exception; she didn't care much, but there were some things that would be far too embarrassing for her to do. Still, the best jokes were often like that: picturing yourself doing random and crazy things that you would probably never actually do. This was one such occasion, and Hailee was having some fun with it. Even though a couple guys nearby were giving them "what the hell?" looks.
The junior had been around guys enough to know that their minds were always in the gutter. So when she made the "from behind" joke, she imagined it would give David some interesting things to think about. She smirked as he seemed to be a little less there for a minute, and then as he came back down to Earth when she spoke again. Resisting the urge to make more dirty jokes was hard. But she managed to do it as the conversation flowed in a different direction. When he mentioned his boxing, she had some pretty risque thoughts of her own, though not as risque as getting it from behind. She simply pictured him in his boxing gear, shirtless and sweating and... well, you get the idea. But she forced herself to stop thinking about that, and to start focusing on the rest of the conversation.
"I'd love to," she replied, grinning. "VIP pass makes it sound so fancy. And I'm pretty sure all the girls there would be jealous." She winked, but she knew it was probably true. David was an easy guy to like -- charming, sexy, and musical. No doubt he had a fair number of female fans who might actually care more about getting into his pants than about the actual music he played. Not that Hailee could blame him; David was a hunk, to be frank. Who the hell thought up the phrase "to be frank" anyhow? Who the hell was Frank and what made him special enough to get a saying made after him? "My life... is pretty much the usual. Uneventful, filled with homework and the occasional party. Nothing really out of the ordinary has been happening with me lately," she said with a shrug. "But whatever, at least it's going fairly well. Could definitely be worse."

David wasn’t normally one to give out VIP passes because after his gigs he liked to have fun and chill with the band in the dressing room. By fun he meant bringing a lot of girls in and just partying it up with some loud music and of course a lot of making out as usual. The reason for his invitation to Hailee was simple, she was hands down hotter then any of the other girls that would have shown up and making out with her was always enjoyable, especially when his hands got to grab certain parts of her. Sure, making out with Hailee might not happen at all but it was worth taking a risk on inviting her and if he didn’t get any make out action from her he could always get one of the other girls in the room, he was after all the lead guitarist with the very fast fingers, which the ladies all seemed to love.
Of course Hailee always did seem more then willing to make out with him if he made a move on her, so he wasn’t expecting her not to make out with him should she go to his gig. And just like he thought she wanted to go and a grin spread across his face that had nothing to do with getting her ‘from behind’ but now that he thought about the from behind line again his mind began to wander to very sexy thoughts, but blinked and shook his head casually to get the ideas out of his head. The last thing he wanted was for Hailee to know he was having very sexy thoughts of her with little to no clothes on, and a certain ‘from behind’ position he would rather enjoy. On the inside he was smirking at the thought, but on the outside he was trying to look calm. Sure, he was more then willing to make out with any girl, but to this day he had done a good job of not having sex, and his main reason for that wasn’t because he didn’t want too, because he really did and sometimes it was very hard to resist especially when the girl was as stunning as Hailee, but because he didn’t want to take the risk in getting a girl pregnant.
“VIP is a rather fancy word, but those little necklace things the pass comes on is pretty cool…” he added with a grin after what she said. No doubt the ladies in the crowd would be jealous, he liked to think he had a few groupies but the vocalist probably got the most, and the drummer in his band definitely liked the attention as well so he was in the background when it came to getting the most ladies. “They won’t be jealous, just as long as you don’t go around saying I personally gave you a VIP pass. If that were to happen I think they might not be so…” he wanted to say easy to make out with but decided against it. “so nice to you.” Granted he could probably still get them to make out with him if he played his guitar in front of them; man did he love girls who went wild for the guitar. Listening to her talk about her life he nodded his head in agreement when she finished, life could always be worse and the way he saw it any day you were able to walk around injury free was a good day. “Yeah, things can always be worse. You can have a broken leg or arm.” he laughed slightly to himself thinking his joke was funny. “Just the way I look at it though.” he quickly added afterward with a nod of his head. “You have any plans for tonight?” It was a question he always asked, and even though it was a school night a lot of things could be done before the curfew set in.
