CLOSED.
Yeah, so we only had a small handful of active people left and it was pretty obvious we would be completely dead soon. So I just decided to close. :/ The site will remain open for a few days so people can gather their things, and then it will go into maintenance mode.
This board has all the basic stuff you'll need to read and know, like the plot and the rules. There's no hidden password anywhere, but please read everything, because it's important stuff.
In here you can find whatever special announcements the staff has put up, like activity checks and updates. Everything in here is important, so make sure to read it.
This is where you post your applications, and then wait for an administrator to accept them. If the application is unfinished, please indicate it in the title. Once an administrator accepts the application, they will move it to the accepted applications board. Until then, don't post in any of the other boards except advertising and chatter.
This is where all finished and accepted applications are stored. Once your application is here, you're free to post with your character anywhere on the site. For your convenience, the link to the applications can be found in the mini-profiles on each character's account.
Here is where you can find all those super important claims that you all need to post in. Face claims, dorm claims, and more can all be found in this board. Face claims have reservations, but the rest if first come, first serve.
This is the place to come if you'd like to plot with other people on the site. Every character needs some plots and relationships, right? So throw up a plot page, and make sure to plot with other people!
If you'd like to set up on of those super useful threads where you keep track of all the in-character threads you're participating in, this is the place to do it. Keep all your character in one thread please, because otherwise the board will get way too crowded if each character gets their own thread.
This is where the students live during the school year. There are two buildings: one for girls and one for boys. Each building has a lounge room on the first floor, that is furnished with comfortable chairs and couches as well as televisions. The other halves of the ground floors are dorms, as are the second and third floors.
This large building is at the front of the school. It's made up of the main office, as well as individual offices for each staff member of the school. The headmaster has his office on the first floor, and he's constantly dealing with students being send to him for misbehaving.
This is where the learning happens, where bright minds expand with knowledge... or it's where students die of boredom and wish they were somewhere else. All the classrooms at Norrington can be found here.
"Cafeteria" wasn't quite fancy enough to describe this building, so the school has called it the dining hall. This is where students eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner unless they choose to go off campus. The food is thankfully better than that of public high school cafeterias, but it's still not all that great.
The academy has an excellent library, full of thousands of novels, encyclopedias, and anything else you might need. The library is two stories tall, with several tables and armchairs available. It also has many computers, as well as outlets everywhere for anyone with a laptop.
The staff and faculty of Norrington get their own private gym, complete with indoor pool and room full of various machines and weights. There's also a miniature store in the back that sells vitamins, exercise clothes, swim suits, and other fitness related items.
Norrington Academy has a very large outdoor area, with several lawns that are dotted with trees and benches. There's also a courtyard, which is a very popular place to hang out while on campus.
There are some pretty amazing beaches in and near Santa Ria, all with sunshine, white sand, and clear blue water that you see in the television shows. They're some pretty great tourist spots, and have marinas where the locals keep their boats. Boating is pretty popular in Santa Ria, as is surfing and just simply tanning on the shore.
The city's downtown area is a great place to shop, eat, and enjoy the day. It's full of shops and restaurants of every shape and size, and is a great tourist spot. The streets are crowded with people of every kind, and many of the students from the academy work in shops here.
This locally owned movie theater is flourishing thanks to the large crowds that come everyday to see films. It has fifteen theaters and always has the latest movies available. There's also an awesome arcade inside.
Downtown isn't the only place to find an awesome eatery or shop until you drop. Santa Ria is filled with great restaurants and cafes, as well as some pretty great bars. There are also stores and shops all over the place, so it's not hard to find what you need.
There are some pretty great night clubs in this city, and they're the place to be on Friday and Saturday nights. A few of them are even bad about security, so getting in with a fake I.D. isn't exactly rocket science.
Named after one of the first settlers of this city, Riddell park is a very nice place to be. There are large paths that are great for biking or jogging, and lots of open field areas. Some sections are more like forest, with dense trees and underbrush. There's also a great playground for the kids, and many sports areas like tennis courts, basketball courts, and volleyball nets.
Lots of tourists and other types of visitors come to stay in Santa Ria, so there are a variety of hotels scattered throughout the city. And of course there are thousands of locals, and all their types of homes. Most of the real estate in Santa Ria is high quality, though there are some shadier parts of the city where the less wealthy of the population live.
Of course there are other places in the city that didn't get mentioned in the boards above, so if you'd like to roleplay somewhere else then just stick it in this board.
Have something random you want to talk about? Toss it in here! You can talk about anything you want here, just nothing super inappropriate, please.
Here's where you can find all those games we all love to play! Anyone can start games, so if you think of one, feel free to add it. Please don't post here until you're accepted, though.
This is where the staff of Crash and Burn get together to talk behind the members' backs. Kidding! This is where staff discuss important stuff with each other -- no members allowed!
This is the only place on the site where advertising is allowed. There is no required form, so do not post if a form is required on your site. Maximum image size is 500 x 700; anything bigger will be resized.
